Discover the ConneXions model of healthy leader development in this one-day seminar!
The Challenge There is explosive church growth in many parts of the world today, as God is bringing hundreds of thousands of people to Himself. And with this enormous harvest of souls, there is a growing leadership crisis. Churches have ever-increasing needs for quality leaders who can effectively shepherd and disciple these new believers. Traditional approaches to leader development cannot produce enough healthy leaders. They focus on “head knowledge” and neglect to develop the whole person. Western training systems and curricula can never completely bridge the monumental gaps of language and culture. The Need This crisis of leadership is an enormous problem. History has shown us that without healthy leaders, new believers may fall away, drift to the cults, or go back to their former religions. We cannot let God’s harvest in the nations be lost! New approaches to leader development are needed churches around the world today. Now is the critical time to embrace new paradigms for building healthy leaders: - A new goal – focusing intentionally on building the whole person – spiritual life, relational capacities, character, vision, biblical knowledge, and ministry skills.
- A new process – with balanced attention to the spiritual, relational, experiential, and instructional dynamics of life transformation.
- A new design – with varied learning experiences and challenging assignments that build leaders in real life, the way Jesus and the early apostles did.
- Leaders building leaders – not just delegating this responsibility to “experts” in academic institutions.
- Churches building leaders – resulting in improved multiplication, flexibility, security, self-support, and evaluation.
- Church planting through leader development – building healthy leaders results in the planting of healthy, sustainable churches.
