We are so different from God. God is self-existent ‒ we're totally dependent. God is infinite ‒ we're small and weak. God is eternal ‒ we're here for a moment. And His perspective about the generations is different from ours. God has been working with man from the beginning and everything now is connected to everything that has gone before us. Moreover, everything now is preparation for what is coming after us. God's work is not just about you here in this moment. It's about those who have gone before you ‒ your spiritual mothers and fathers, back for generations ‒ who prayed and labored and wept. And everything we do now is not just for us and our generation. Everything now is preparation for the generations to come. This is how we need to think!
