Welcome to the ConneXions Competency Instrument Suite! Our ConneXions Competency Model provides a comprehensive framework through which to understand and build leadership competencies.
According to this model, healthy leaders need competencies to think and act in four dimensions – toward God, themselves, others and the organization. Here are some examples:
- Competencies toward God: Bible study and biblical interpretation skills, spiritual disciplines.
- Personal competencies: creativity, time management, self-awareness, thinking patterns.
- Competencies toward others: communication, team building, relational skills, decision-making, dealing with conflict.
- Organizational competencies: strategic planning, systems thinking, external awareness.
Additionally, these competencies are distinct for each of three leadership levels – direct leaders, organizational leaders and strategic leaders. - Direct leaders are the frontline leaders who work directly with people – church planters, evangelists, pastors, etc.
- Organizational leaders are mid-level leaders who work primarily with leaders.
- Strategic leaders oversee the whole work, dealing with systemic issues and leading the ministry into the future.
We hope the following instruments, grouped according to the four dimensions, will help you grow in your leadership competencies. Here's how you can use the instruments: - If you've used the tools before, registered with us, and want to continue, please Log In.
