Amanda has lived in Hong Kong for 30 years, though she happily identifies herself as a Singaporean, born and bred. She and her husband Richie, who serves with Our Daily Bread Ministries, have two adult children, Cora and Dara. She first volunteered with LeaderSource in 2008 at an LDC in Hong Kong and since then, in many other similar events. 

 

Born into a family of non-believers and deeply entrenched in Chinese ancestral worship and a strong tradition of filial piety, Amanda had declared that she would never have anything to do with a foreign god! Now she is forever grateful to God that He nonetheless reached out to save her sisters and her in the most extraordinary way when she was only 11. As a teen, she was mentored by Youth for Christ leaders, which has left a lifelong imprint on her and given her a strong desire to see others growing in Christ.

 

She has expressed this passion most clearly over the last 12 years through her leadership and discipleship of women through small group Bible studies. Her class with these ladies is the highlight of her week.
