Both Joanna’s maternal and paternal grandparents were missionaries to (primarily) Nigeria, Africa, where both of her parents spent their childhoods. Most of her life has been affected by the large worldview her parents consequently instilled. Losing her father as a child has directly developed her deep and lasting passion for people to experience the love and freedom the Father offers through Jesus. Additionally, to know the Holy Spirit’s comforting, teaching, and empowering work is a deep passion area.

She is a devoted homeschooler, prayer warrior, and passionate mother of four. She finds joy in nurturing her children’s growth and learning, creating a warm and supportive environment at home where curiosity and faith can flourish. Married to Matt, she is grateful for the long partnership they share in building a loving, faith-centered family.
