Spreading the Gospel in the Persian-Speaking World
“I want to receive the love that they have for the Lord.”
A testimony from a course for emerging leaders in the Persian-speaking World about generational succession:
“Before I came I didn't really know what the course would be like, but I wanted to come and find out what my calling is/how I can serve God. Since I came, however, what I have heard and what I’m experiencing has changed my expectations. Now I want to know God better, and grow deeper in my relationship with Him. That's my biggest expectation.” (An emerging leader at the training)
When asked what they want from the previous generation, one young lady said the following:
“I want to receive the love that they have for the Lord. I want to know what it was that they experienced in the Lord and His love that enabled them to stand and face all the difficulties, suffering, persecution and still serve Him with great joy. I want to have the same love for Him.”
As the day went on and they learned about the 5Cs, and Christ being the center and walking in union with Him, it clicked for her why the previous generation was able to stand for Him!
